Grisly photos show 'unbelievable' destruction after deadly Philadelphia Amtrak crash

Mangled metal, piles of debris and injured bodies filled a chaotic accident scene after an Amtrak train derailed in Philadelphia Tuesday night.

At least five people were killed and 50 injured. There were 243 passengers, including five crew members, abroad Amtrak Northeast Regional train 188, which was traveling from D.C. to New York. About 120 firefighters and a variety of other emergency personnel responded to the crash.

“It’s unbelievable,” said Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter.
