Former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan was stopped at an airport checkpoint in Vermont on Sunday night, after security officials discovered he was carrying a knife.
The 007 star, whose outings as the suave agent include GoldenEye and Die Another Day, was reportedly left embarrassed and angry by the incident.
Brosnan was prevented from getting on board with the 10-inch hunting knife in his hand luggage by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents at Burlington International Airport. He was allowed to board the plane - without the knife - after the issue was resolved, local police said.
TSA rules ban a number of sharp objects from being taken into the cabin, including knives, meat cleavers, sabers and long scissors.
Neither Brosnan nor his publicist have commented since the incident, although the actor has been posting some lovely snaps from his visit to Ireland.
