Quick Pitch: PigSpigot is an online, user-generated greeting card company that allows customers to send both e-cards and snail-mail cards to friends and family.

Genius Idea: Not too long ago, we reviewed Enthusem, a paper greeting card service that added a digital component to its cards. Since then, we've learned about several other interesting web and social media greeting card services. One in particular, PigSpigot, also offers printed cards in the mail, but focuses on personalization and artsy designs.

Once you get past the company's really odd name, you can quickly see why people would use this service - the art is unique and gorgeous. The website's overall concept is simple: either browse their user-generated greeting card designs or submit your own. You can send them as e-cards (for free) or as paper cards ($3.99, shipping included). Once you've picked from designs in 7 different categories, you can personalize it, add a shipping address, and bam! The card is sent.

Once again, the standout feature of PigSpigot is its art. It's not your Hallmark-type art, but a wide array of artistic work, both crude and gorgeous. It's clear that some works come from 10 year olds and some come from professional artists. You can browse through the entire library or just the editor picks or most popular arts. And once again, you can submit your own.

PigSpigot doesn't have the same feature set or digital component of competitor Enthusem, but it does make up for it with its library of art. There's a card for the loving dad, the rambunctious son, or the Obama-loving best friend. And to get you started, PigSpigot is offering free cards to the first 50 people that register and email [email protected] with their username and the subject "Mashable Card."
