Who's Winning the Pinterest Election? [INFOGRAPHIC]

Of all the major social networks having an impact on this year's presidential election, Pinterest is the newest. And while some of the once-red-hot buzz around the image-sharing network has died down, both the Barack Obama and Mitt Romney campaigns maintain an active presence there. But which candidate is more popular and, dare we say, more pinteresting?

Looking at the candidates themselves, we see Obama's got many times the followers and interactions that Romney does -- a situation repeated on other popular social networks, including Twitter and Facebook.

However, if you compare the profiles of the candidates' spouses, Ann Romney's doing a bit better than Michelle Obama. Why? Perhaps because Ann's been on the platform longer -- she joined in early 2012, whereas Michelle started pinning this past summer. Either way, both campaigns are using the wives' Pinterest boards to give the campaign a more human, personable touch -- much the same function candidates' spouses play on the campaign trail.
