LONDON -- You don't rile up gorillas. You just don't do it. It's not worth it.

Photographer Bob Pitchford was on the receiving end of a gorilla's foul mood at the Bristol Zoo earlier this month.

Perhaps the bamboo shoots were subpar that day, or maybe she just doesn't like having her picture taken. (Or maybe it's that whole being-stuck-at-a-zoo thing.)

Regardless, she made her feelings known.

Pritchard spotted her playing in some grass.

"[She] really does look a bit cheesed off," Pritchard, who originally thought the gorilla was male, told the Bristol Post. "Gorillas have fantastic hearing so when I started clicking [she] must have heard me. [She] just turned around and it looked like [she] was flipping me the middle finger."

Pritchard didn't even notice the slight until he got home. "When I saw the pictures, I just thought 'you little devil.'"
