A heartening sign hung in a small pizzeria is making the rounds online in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.

Bada Bing! Pizzeria in Springfield, Ohio drew attention on Tuesday with a notice posted in its window regarding Thanksgiving day. Though the eatery would be closed that day, the owners, their family, friends and employees would be enjoying dinner there at 2 p.m. People who were hungry, but couldn't afford to pay for food, would be welcome to join.

In the time since sharing the invitation on Facebook on Tuesday, the post garnered more than 4,000 shares, 3,000 Likes and 200 comments of support. The post also drew attention on Reddit, where it garnered more than 5,000 upvotes and more than 1,256 comments.

Owner Jason Hauge tells local affiliate ABC 22 that he's already received messages from vendors and volunteers asking how they can help, though he admits he's unsure of how many people may visit his restaurant on Thursday.

"If we're able to feed even one hungry person, I'm fine with that," he said."But if it turns out to be something more monumental, we'll think about doing something next year for sure."
