LONDON -- Britain isn't typically known for its edge-of-your-seat police car chases, but last Sunday was most definitely an exception.

A total of four police units were dispatched to apprehend a Shetland pony that was running riot through a residential area of Crawley, the Crawley News reports -- and thankfully, some heroic witness managed to capture footage of the incident.

After giving officers the runaround for a full 45 minutes, the pony was finally cornered. The flighty beast was then taken to a safe place and police contacted the RSPCA to help trace the owner, according to the The Telegraph.
