The last thing anybody wants to see is flashing blue and red lights behind them.
Police in Lowell, Michigan, decided to spread a bit of holiday cheer by assisting minor traffic violators with some of their Christmas shopping.
After pulling over motorists, the officers did a bit of investigating to discover some of the gifts the offenders still needed to purchase or items they personally wanted. A team of shoppers that were listening in at a store nearby quickly purchased the items and delivered them to the officers who then handed them over to drivers.

The gifts range from a Lego Friends set for a woman's daughter, a new TV for a man who broke his and even an Xbox One for a father who told his children they weren't getting one this year.
Motorists were completely shocked by the gifts, with one woman saying, "This just turned my bad day into a good one."
The stunt was sponsored and the gifts were paid for by UP TV as a part of their #UpliftSomeone challenge, encouraging people "to do something small to make someone's day."
