Video of People Posing For Photos Will Leave You Cringing

The act of posing for a photo is a generally awkward endeavor. Not until you see yourself tagged on Instagram do you learn whether all the crouching and smiling worked out in a visually pleasing way.

So, it's a bit embarrassing when later you learn you weren't posing for a photo, but for one supremely uncomfortable video.

Students at Nottingham Trent University played this cringe-worthy prank on their classmates, filming them silently posing as they wait for the videographer to snap their photo. The resulting footage serves as an example of why no one is safe when the cameras come out.

These students are not the first to pull this type of prank. Director and film editor Dean Fleischer-Camp created a similar original video in May 2012, as did Seattle band Go Periscope in early June.
