It's punk, true believers!

A Brazilian artist, who goes by the name of Butcher Billy, reimagined seminal icons of the post-punk era as your favorite Marvel superheroes in a new art series called "All-New Superpowered Post-Punk Marvels."

Because no one quite embodies the inner turmoil and moral dilemmas of Marvel superheroes quite like New wave music sensations.

"Marvel characters are a bit more fragile because under the spandex and superpowers. They're mostly real people struggling with real life issues. Their troubles are always quite personal, and I find these concepts very relatable," Billy told Mashable.

Butcher Billy's latest series is a followup to his "Post-Punk Super Friends" series, which depicts post-punk musicians as DC Comics superheroes. This only proves that behind every caped vigilante is a punk rocker waiting to come out. There's something deeply satisfying about seeing Siouxsie Sioux as Scarlet Witch or Billy Idol as Thor.
