Brazilian film student Roberta Bernardo never expected to find a friend in the produce section — but when she found a personality-filled potato, she simply couldn't help herself.
While shopping in a grocery store, Bernardo stumbled upon this tuber, which strangely resembled a small creature. The potato almost seemed to have tiny arms and a face.

... and before long, a personality seemed to spring forth from the cute tater (and by that, we mean Bernardo just drew some eyeballs on the potato and gave it clothes).

Bernardo documented the potato's transformation from produce section nobody to Internet celebrity on Facebook. She told BuzzFeed Brazil that she is currently keeping the potato in her refrigerator so it doesn't get too overheated.
