While slices of fresh watermelon spread with a thick layer of butter might sound disgusting to you, to at least one pregnant woman, it was the picture of a the perfect snack.

This is the premise of Eating for Two: The Pregnancy Cravings Cookbook, a blog of beautifully photographed unusual pregnancy cravings and the recipes that accompany them.

Art director Juarez Rodrigues and copywriter Vicky Jacob-Ebbinghaus are the creatives behind Eating for Two, which they started together after a friend with children revealed her own strange pregnancy craving: Oreos with toothpaste. The recipe would ultimately become a post on Eating for Two, as would other recipes submitted by pregnant women and mothers.

Don't let the "Cookbook" fool you-- many of the snacks photographed for this project aren't technically made from food. Take for example the recipe for burnt matches: "Burn the matches preferably without setting off your smoke alarm. Eat the burnt parts." Rodrigues and Jacob-Ebbinghaus -- who taste test and review each recipe -- gave the dish one star.

But in an email to Mashable, Jacob-Ebbinghaus revealed the worst dish by far, which is a bar of soap drizzled in a "sauce" of liquid soap.

"We had the feeling it gave our mouths PTSD, because not only did it taste terrible, but the taste lingered for hours and hours afterwards," she said.
