How to Prepare for CES 2013

Mashable staff sat down for a Google Hangout on Friday with CEA President Gary Shapiro about next week's International CES 2013 tech forum.

Of the questions asked, we wondered what it's like to be in his shoes -- i.e., the big man on campus -- during an event like CES.

"It's kind of like being the vice president of a country. All the key notes are introduced; a lot of foreign delegations," he said. "We have over 35,000 people coming from abroad -- a lot of them government officials."

His top three priorities, he said, are to save his voice, drink plenty of water and always have a humidifier at the ready.

"Every hotel will give you a humidifier if you ask them," he said. Good to know.

You can catch the conversation in full here.

Will you be attending this year's CES? If so, how are you preparing? Tell us below. And remember: Ask for a humidifier during your next hotel stay.
