Presdo, an online scheduler with an eye towards quick access and efficiency, has been built over the last couple of months into a simple who-when-and-where software kit that now has with it an API for developers to use as they’d like.

Today the startup, begun by Eric Ly, a co-founder of LinkedIn, has rolled out one more function for users’ convenience in the form of a bookmarklet. Ly calls it “the Doodad,” and the way it works is as one might expect. Drag the Presdo Doodad into your browser toolbar or favorites menu, and click it whenever you wish to create an event.

A slim input box drops down, you input whatever basic information you’d like, send the note to Presdo, and you’re then brought to a page of options allowing you to input any desired information. When finished creating an event, you can save the event to four calendaring programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Apple iCal, Yahoo Calendar, and Google Calendar. An invite can be sent to someone you’re looking to meet, too. The recipient, meanwhile, then has the ability to respond through Presdo in kind, confirming a get-together or perhaps to suggest a new hour.
