A flight to Singapore was delayed for two hours on Thursday, after flight attendants thought they saw a severed finger on the plane.

Crew on the Tigerair flight, departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia, called airport security upon the discovery. As it turned out, however, the finger was not severed -- but a prosthetic.

"The flight was delayed as airport authorities carried out checks when a prosthetic finger was discovered on board during a routine transit cabin inspection," a Tigerair spokesperson told Mashable on Saturday.

The airline said the flight arrived safely in Singapore at 8:28 p.m., local time, on Thursday, about two hours and 20 minutes behind schedule.

The airline did not say if the finger was returned to its owner.
