The Public Transport app tracks public transportation in more than 430 cities all over the world. It also offers timely updates on bus and train routes in 45 cities.

Nokia Pulse is an app that lets users send location-tagged photos and updates to close groups of friends and family. Updates and photos are also accessible from the web. It's an interesting mix of photo and location sharing and Twitter-like status updates, but aimed for private use among smaller groups. However, there are already several choices of group messaging apps out there.

Finally, the Live View -- first showcased in July -- is an augmented reality app that shows names and information on streets and places when you point to them with the phone's camera. You can also get detailed information on various points of interest such as restaurants and businesses with a click.

All three new applications are available at Nokia's Beta Labs.
