Australians have come together to mourn the loss of a footy legend. In a touching tribute, football fans across the country have hung their footy club's scarf outside to honour the life of Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh.
Walsh was murdered in the early hours of Friday morning , his son, Cy, has been charged with the murder.
Under the hashtags #putyourscarvesout and #scarvesoutforwalshy, people from rival clubs and different codes came together Friday to display their footy paraphernalia, no matter the colour of the stripe.
The memorial is reminiscent of the tribute #putoutyourbats for cricketer Phillip Hughes, who died earlier this year when he was hit in the neck with a cricket ball. Many around the country mourned his death by putting their cricket bats outside their front doors.
