He may not look like the rest of the dogs, but he's still a happy little pooch.

Secondhand Hounds, a nonprofit dog rescue in Minnesota, recently welcomed a special 5-year-old dog appropriately named Quasimodo, who suffers from short spine syndrome.

The rescue claims that only 13 dogs in the world are affected by short spine syndrome, and although this pure bred German shepherd may look a little different, he's still a sweet pup and doesn't appear to be suffering much from his syndrome.

Although Secondhand Hounds is seeking a forever home for Quasimodo, the rescue wants to monitor his condition and his progress, so he's not quite ready yet. However, Quasi the Great now has his very own Facebook page where his fans can keep up with his progress.

On his Facebook page, the rescue explains that Quasimodo was originally picked up as a stray by a southern shelter who believed that he had lived his entire life in a kennel. When Secondhand Hounds found out about the pup, they immediately stepped in to rescue the animal.
