Given that we know the Queen enjoys a good photobomb, we can now add "trolling" to her list of royal hobbies.

A twenty-year old anecdote featuring the Queen Elizabeth and the late King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia began surfacing on social media on Friday, according to The Independent. In it, the then-crown prince was treated to a driving tour by none other than Her Royal Highness.

First tweeted by Shashank Joshi, a senior research fellow at the Royal United Services Institute, the story comes from the book Ever the Diplomat: Confessions of a Foreign Office Mandarin by Sherard Cowper-Coles.

The story was confirmed by a woman who said she was the daughter of the interpreter in the car.

@shashj @Doylech I know this story well because my mother was the interpreter! I love her version of the story— Caroline McLannahan (@CMcLannahan) January 23, 2015

Women are still banned from driving in the conservative Middle East monarchy.

All we can say is, well played your majesty.
