LONDON -- The Queen has sat for dozens of portraits in her decades-long reign, but the latest is a little different from the rest.
The photos, which were actually taken back in 2013, but released on Sunday, show the monarch from four different angles.
Taken by photographer Hugo Rittson-Thomas, the portrait was captured using full-length mirrors, which lets us see the Queen from the front, back and sides. It will go on show as part of a new exhibition that includes similar portraits of other royals such as Prince William and the Duchess of Cornwall. The exhibit also has portraits of members of the royal household and other British figures.
In her portrait, which was taken at Windsor Castle, the Queen wears a burgundy dress, which was designed by her personal assistant Angela Kelly. Rittson-Thomas told BBC News he managed to capture her smile after he asked her how she would feel if one of her horses won the Epsom Derby horse race.
