QuickJump, the extensive blogging network for coverage of all things concerning online and console games, is being auctioned off for a cool $5 million as its minimum bid. The high auction price is largely due to QuickJump's extensive network, which includes niche blogging sites for Nintendo, MMORPGs, Gadgets, PC Gaming, XBox 360, and many more. These will all be included for the auction.

According to SitesFS, QuickJump's owner has reported $60,000 in monthly revenue for its network. In the days of growing interest from gaming industry vets to find ways to become more directly involved with consumers, would QuickJump be a good buy? As we've seen with the music industry, the printed media industry, and now the film and television industry, online methods for distributing content are projected to see more investment in the coming years.

A handful of notable blogs have been acquired in the past year, so it's no surprise to see QuickJump's asking price. Similar sites will fetch a near identical price point. The questions that have yet to be answered is in regards to why the current owner wants to sell, and what further growth can QuickJump's professional blogging network achieve?
