This might be as close as you'll ever get to Star Wars science fiction meeting science fact: working R2-D2 and C-3P0 droids showing up for the launch of the Boeing 787 "Dreamliner" from Japan's All Nippon Airways (ANA).

The event took place on Saturday in Everett, Washington.

And before you assume these robots were just inanimate props, let's be clear, the droids hammed it up proper. R2-D2 issued all its famous beeps of surprise during the rollout of the special Star Wars-themed aircraft, while whoever was in that C-3P0 suit deserves an award for perfectly mimicking the mannerisms of the famed humanoid robot.
