LONDON -- So Rachel Weisz (i.e. the Academy Award-winning actress, star of multiple Hollywood films, producer and former model) was featured in The Sunday Times recently. Unfortunately, the paper's description of her has raised more than a few eyebrows on social media.

In a teaser for an article in the Culture section, The Sunday Times used the caption "Mrs James Bond turns producer" when referring to Weisz.

Oh hey @thesundaytimes I'm pretty sure she's done other stuff apart from marry Daniel Craig? pic.twitter.com/BXCf3hlN9B— Tom Price (@pricetom) September 27, 2015

The paper's decision to focus on the fact that Weisz is married to Daniel Craig -- rather than her many personal achievements -- has drummed up a fair bit of controversy on Twitter.

@pricetom @_choobacca @thesundaytimes clearly time to start calling Craig "Mr The Mummy Returns"— wrongtom (@TheWrongtom) September 27, 2015

@pricetom @thesundaytimes HAHA! Oscar winning actress is apparently only known for marrying Daniel Craig!— Tilden Katz (@the_purplebear) September 27, 2015

Rachel Weisz referred to as "Mrs James Bond" in the Sunday Times-hard lines when she's won an Oscar and has a great career...— The Purple Boots (@thepurpleboots) September 27, 2015

Mrs James Bond? Really @thesundaytimes #everydaysexism pic.twitter.com/jU1FEVfGFg— Tabitha McGrath (@tabithamcgrath) September 27, 2015

@Masterofwhine @thesundaytimes not 'Oscar-winning' or 'ground-breaking' actress. Nope, Mr James Bond. Awful.— Tabitha McGrath (@tabithamcgrath) September 27, 2015

Weisz won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Constant Gardner in 2006. She also won an Olivier Award for Best Actress after playing Blanche Dubois in a 2010 adaptation of A Streetcar Named Desire.

The British actress is currently starring in and producing Snatchback -- a thriller based on the true story of a woman searching for her abducted daughter.

In 2011, she married Craig -- who will soon be starring in his fourth film as Bond.

Mashable has reached out to The Sunday Times and will update this article if we receive a response.
