Want to experience rain without the inconvenience of getting wet?

RainRoom, an installation at London-based Barbican Art Gallery, lets visitors enter a space that recreates rainfall, but keeps them dry as they move throughout the exhibit. How does it work?

"As soon as you approach the installation, a cocoon of dryness is created around you. This leaves you able to wander freely through different areas of the space, surrounded by falling water, and yet to remain completely dry," according to RainRoom's official description.

Artist group rAndom International created the installation in 2010. It is on display at Barbican until next March.
