RateItAll, the social network and consumer rating site, has launched its consumer review widget today.
This consumer widget lets site publishers add a ratings system to their site in order to elicit useful information from site visitors. Features for the widget include the ability to post ratings and reviews, browse thumbnail photos of recent reviewers, flip through ratings and reviews left by others, and register for RateItAll's service. The tool is perfect for those looking to get some feedback from users within a community setting.
It's perfect for bloggers that don't have a plug-in option available or for publishers that can't afford to have larger community components added to their services for the purpose of enabling and tracking a ratings and review system of any sort. If a publisher is within a community put has a public URL, this is also a way to gather helpful data about their content from visitors that may not be a community member.
