This is fairly par for the course for GoDaddy. I personally have a few dozen domains with GoDaddy, but none are on their hosting plans. I've been shopping recently for a new home for my personal blog, and many people warned me off GoDaddy hosting, citing similar experiences to this and what Fyodor of SecLists.org went through early last year, where he was given 60 seconds to remove material that GoDaddy found objectionable from his site before GoDaddy took down the site for him.
