This might be the cutest jailbreak ever.

A red panda named Masala escaped from the red panda habitat at the Sequoia Park Zoo in Eureka, California, on Thursday, the North Coast Journal reported.

Zookeepers were alerted to Masala's absence when they received a call about a red panda which spotted in a local neighborhood, and the Eureka Police Department was still on the lookout on Friday.

"We have no idea how she got over the fence," zoo manager Gretchen Ziegler told the Journal. "It's contained red pandas since it was built. Animals can do things you can't imagine. We're going to try to figure it out."

Red pandas typically do not do well in the wild in the U.S., as the majority of their diet is bamboo, according to IUCN Red List.

If you're in California and see a red panda on the lam, avoid your instincts to hug it and contact the authorities.

"[Masala has] been in the panda exhibit her whole life so she's pretty naive. We'll be searching all day and all night," Ziegler added.
