LONDON -- A U.S. company has created downloadable language cards to assist people helping refugees.
The "refugee communication boards," designed by communication company Tobii Dynavox, can be downloaded in PDF format and printed out directly from the company's website.
The boards are currently available in six different languages on the Tobii Dynavox website (Arabic to English, French, German, Hungarian, Norweigan and Swedish), and use a combination of key words and simple illustrations to make communication as smooth as possible.
"In order to facilitate communication we’ve created a simple communication board that allows you to express some basic needs and feelings," reads the description on the Tobii Dynavox website.
"If you happen to be one of those kind souls helping the refugees on the ground, please download the communication board in the appropriate language below, print it out, and use it when you talk to those people in need."
As well as downloading the PDFs from the company's website, you can also visit Boardmarker to help create more cards in different languages.
