The Primetime Emmy Awards might still be a week away but some TV favorites are already big winners, including House of Cards favorite Reg E. Cathey.

Cathey, who has played chef and presidential confidant Freddy for three season on the Netflix series, walked away with the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series statue, beating out the likes of Beau Bridges (Masters of Sex), Michael J. Fox (Good Wife) and Pablo Schreiber (Orange Is the New Black).

Cathey's win was anything but an upset, though, as the actor's character enjoyed more than a few standout moments in the past season.

Speaking of upsets: Poor Jon Hamm. He was considered a bit of a lock in the race for the Best Guest Actor in a Comedy thanks to his hilarious turn as a cult leader in The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, but he ended up losing to an equally deserving Bradley Whitford, who won for his role in Transparent.

Hamm is once again up for the Best Actor in a Drama award, and it's widely thought to finally be his year.

Meanwhile, Margo Martindale and Joan Cusack won for their guest appearances on FX's The Americans and Showtime's Shameless, respectively.

In all, Game of Thrones was the big winner in the creative categories, walking away with eight awards for editing, production design and visual effects, among others.

American Horror Story: Freak Show was the second most decorated show in the technical categories, with five statues.
