The global Restaurant & Bar Design Awards have announced a short list from this year's entries, and Australia has made an impressive appearance.
The shortlist features 214 projects from 70 countries, with 12 venues from the land Down Under. The spaces this year include burger vans, pop-up restaurants and Michelin-starred eateries. The list is in preparation for the winners announcement on Oct. 1 in London. It is the only awards ceremony that features the design of food and drink spaces exclusively.
This year local haunts in Sydney, the Gold Coast, Adelaide and Melbourne are featured, showcasing some of Australia's best design talent -- alongside standout spaces around the world from a martini truck to a Mexican hole-in-the-wall.
