Yet more acquisition talk: news agency Reuters has received a preliminary takeover approach from an unnamed buyer.
Early speculation was that it may be Thomson Corp, a rumor that's now backed by a report in the Globe and Mail. Unnamed sources at the two companies deny that the move is a reaction to the News Corp/Dow Jones bid (News Corp made a bid for Dow Jones this week). Reuters is valued at in excess of $15 billion.
