There was that time last season when designer Rick Owens reportedly slapped a model across the face backstage after the latter held up a sign "Please Kill Angela Merkel" while walking the runway. Then there were the penis holes.

But none compared to Owens' spring/summer 2016 show in Paris Thursday, when models wore other models down the catwalk.

Apparently the show's theme was "women supporting women," with each of the models presenting the brand's latest looks with other models strapped onto them. Some were knapsacks, others backpacks. Others seemed like complete fleshy sheaths, with models' heads placed between women's crotches.

Models really have to carry each other's weight, huh? Rick Owens. #pfw pic.twitter.com/vUcIvSBgbR— Christina Binkley (@BinkleyOnStyle) October 1, 2015

According to New York Magazine critic Cathy Horyn, each of the models were local gymnasts, which explained why the women were so limber and could contort their bodies at every which whim.
