LONDON -- Ricky Gervais may be a controversial figure when it comes to awards show hosting, but when it comes to birthday messages he's a pretty thoughtful guy.
To mark the birthday of American TV host Ellen Degeneres on Tuesday, Gervais sent her the following tweet.
