Rihanna, who continues to drop breadcrumbs that will eventually lead to the release of her eighth studio album, just released an interlude titled "James Joint."

The "FourFiveSeconds" singer posted the new audio "in celebration of 420," even though it didn't appear on RihannaNow.com until a day later, on Tuesday.

In the 70-second snippet, she sings about smoking weed and wreaking havoc with a special someone: "I'd rather be breaking things 'cause we can't see. We're too busy kissing, just making scenes, here come the police, didn't know about your history."

After she posted a link to the interlude on Twitter, her website crashed sporadically.

Rihanna hasn't announced a release date for her upcoming album, but it's rumored that she'll drop it unexpectedly, as artists like Beyoncé and Drake have done.

"Dude, I’m in love with my interludes. This one called 'James Joint' is on constant repeat," Rihanna told V Magainze in an interview published Tuesday. "[The album is] soulful and aggressive, whether it’s lyrically, musically, or just the tone of my voice."

This year alone, the 27-year-old artist has already released three songs that could potentially all be included as tracks on the forthcoming album. "FourFiveSeconds" arrived in January ahead of the Grammys, where she, Kanye West and Paul McCartney performed it.

Her follow-up, "BBHMM (Bitch Better Have My Money)," debuted in parts on video-messaging app Dubsmash before performing it at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Rihanna then premiered "American Oxygen" on Tidal, Jay Z's new streaming service in which Rihanna is a stakeholder. Ten days later, her team posted it on YouTube.
