The addicts of Rio de Janeiro's 'cracklands' tell their stories

Welcome to "cracolandia," or "crackland" -- where all manner of people share a damaging addiction.

Cracklands are open-air locations in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where crack cocaine can be purchased and smoked in plain sight, day or night. Studies estimate there are nearly 1 million crack users in Brazil, making it the world's top consumer of crack. But government programs have failed to impact the country's widespread drug use problem. Photographer Felipe Dana had drug users sit for portraits, and asked them to share their personal stories.
