What do the biggest social media influencers and creators have in common? They reigned supreme at VidCon 2016. Oh, and they were also in attendance at the second-annual, invite-only, Back to the Future-themed Rise9 bash.
Rise9 and Diply, with Mashable by their side, took guests back in time. The #ThrowBacktotheFuture party boasted a real-life DeLorean, a 50’s barbershop quartet, and Ring Pops galore. Hosted at Highway 39 Events Center, a vintage car museum in Anaheim, CA, the whole trip to the past was brought to life.

The ultimate throwback? A live performance of “I Want Candy” by the early 2000s pop sensation himself, Aaron Carter. Carter also treated the audience to more of his classics as well as introduced songs from his upcoming album.

DJ Brody Jenner (Yeah, you heard that right) kept the celebration going, as the community of influencers, artists, creators and industry executives partied into the night with drinks provided by New Amsterdam Vodka and Vita Coco, as well as with various photo booths and interactive activations.
Of course, the influencers and creators in attendance took to social media to share their experiences.
