Rocket Science's Mobile Platform Acquired by Liquid Air Lab

Liquid Air Lab, creator of the mobile application spodtronic, has made a small acquisition with Rocket Science, which alows for XML-based UI development on Symbian Series 60, UIQ, Windows Mobile and Linux platforms. This is offered on its Poison Framework, with a single codebase to support all of the above.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition will bring Rocket Science fully on board with Liquid Air Lab, including its employees, assets and patents. As part of the acquisition, Rocket Science will move its office to Liquid Air Lab's base in Finland. In handling the differences in the operating systems, Rocket Science's Poison platform allows for developing for different handsets without rewriting any code.
