Rocket21 is a new social networking site that connects teens to older professionals in an open forum-type style. On this episode of Revolution, Rocket21 President Jodell Seagrave explains how her site, and social technology in general, are keeping different generations connected.

"We've created an opportunity for kids to explore their dreams with some of the brightest minds in the world," she says.

But Rocket21 isn't just a one-way street. Professionals can learn from using the site, too –- especially when it comes to the buying patterns and digital habits of the younger generation.

"Generation Z" (kids between ages 8 and 12) is said to control almost $30 billion in spending in the U.S. For professionals, Seagrave says, Rocket21 can be used as a gateway into the young consumers' minds -- a win-win.
