A good roommate picks up their clothes, washes the dishes — and never rents out your bedroom without your consent.

Robert Corwin, a digital artist who divides his time between California and Chicago, came home to find something amiss in his West Town condo. His liquor cabinet was depleted, and a hookah had been left on his dining room table.

Oh, and there was a strange young couple living in his master bedroom. You know, the usual.

Corwin was flummoxed. “Your imagination goes crazy. What’s been going on? It could be everything from orgies to drugs,” he told CBS Chicago.

Corwin had a sneaking suspicion of who was responsible for the unwelcome tenants: his roommate.

Sure enough, after a quick perusal of Airbnb, he found that his Chicago roommate had indeed listed the room as available to rent. Corwin kicked the roommate out shortly thereafter, but is understandably rattled by the situation.

"It's awful! Somebody invaded my nest," he told CBS' Mike Parker.

Airbnb reportedly told Corwin, “Airbnb does not own, operate, manage or control accommodations, nor do we verify private contract terms or arbitrate complaints from third parties."
