Hot on the heels of Adam's announcement of acquisition of ReadBurner this morning, Benjamin Golub is determined not to be left behind and has implemented a new blog widget based on the functionality of RSSMeme. Corvida over at SheGeeks tipped me off - from her description:

The widget itself is not your typical sidebar widget. Instead, it sits wherever you’d like to place it, though I’d suggest following Benjamin’s example and place it in your posts to let viewers know how many times your story has been shared.

It's actually a pretty keen idea, a perfect way to implement a little virility to the Shared Post system outside of the very closed world of Google Reader.  I'm not sure about most folks experience, but for me I've found it's a serious time investment being an evangelist for Google Reader.  Of all the Web 2.0 tools I've picked up over the last couple of years, it's hands down the one that saves me the most time in my daily newsgathering routines.
