Faceplant! Russian Curler Eats It On the Ice
Russia's Andrey Drozdov shouts to his teammates to sweep harder as they approach the house in men's curling competition against Denmark at the 2014 Winter Olympics, Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, in Sochi, Russia. Credit: Robert F. Bukaty

Not quite two years ago, we brought you some of the Summer Olympics' funniest fails in this timeless classic.

This on-ice Winter Olympics tumble from Russian curler Andrey Drozdov is right up there with any of those. Watch as a curling stone, ahem, sweeps -- that's a curling pun, if you're scoring at home -- Drozdov's feet right out from under him. Luckily, he's able to break the fall with his, um, face. Never mind, actually; this just looks like a world of pain.

The epic faceplant came during Russia's 7-6 win over Switzerland on Thursday in Sochi. That brings Russia's curling record to 1-4 so far in the games. Drozdov's fall sure looks bad, but he was apparently not seriously injured, finishing the match and celebrating the host country's first win of the Olympics after it was decided.

NBC has video of Drozdov's faceplant if you just can't get enough.
