Ryan Adams has a special message for Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl.

The rocker was performing at the Sydney Opera House when he decided to dedicate his next song to Grohl, who recently broke his leg and is touring the country and performing on a massive throne.

"He was able to continue doing what he loved, even though he was totally broken," Adams tells the crowd. "So this is for him. This for that bastard."

He then launched into a tender cover of the Foo Fighters' track "Times Like These," an uplifting song about overcoming adversity.
