Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte makes two appearances in a series of six dating-themed video ads for Nissan Sentra.
Lochte, dressed in a burgundy and black satin dressing gown over what appears to be a speedo, introduces us to the narrator of the series -- a sprightly and savvy "love guru" -- in the first video, above.
Over the next five episodes, we watch as Jeff, a socially and physically clumsy guy, manages to win over the beautiful and cool Felicia. At each wrong turn, the narrator appears, loosely suggesting that if Jeff could simply drive a Nissan Sentra through his dating life, all his problems could be avoided.
Lochte makes a second cameo in episode three. It's a good performance for the swimmer: It's awkward, but you get the sense it's meant to be.
Lochte linked out to the ad on Twitter late Thursday. The spots were produced by TBWA/Chiat/Day in Los Angeles.
