Never has the phrase "can't even" been more applicable.

In the first half of the semifinals of the World Cup match on Tuesday, Brazil got absolutely obliterated by Germany, who scored five -- yes, five -- goals in less than 30 minutes.

Before long, a roaring stadium of Brazil's fans went from spirited to devastated. They couldn't hide their shame any better than Brazil could defend. (Too soon? Sorry.)

These are the faces of defeat.
