Before you dismiss Lorde's "Team" as another pop song you're sick of hearing, you might want to give this cover a listen.
Postmodern Jukebox, a musical group known for genre-bending covers of Top 40 hits, twists its vocal stylings for a clever remake of the pop track. And in keeping with the band's previous "Royals" cover, the group brought in Puddles the clown to provide the lead vocals.
The jazzy remix, complete with piano, sax and harmonizing backing vocals, lends a 1940s feel to the pop tune. But "Team" really gets a somber jolt from Puddles' bellowing voice, which adds a melancholy tone to the otherwise upbeat track.
