Why go out to a restaurant and order a $15 salad when this robot can make one right in your own kitchen?
The CIROS robot has free movement of both arms and hands, allowing it to chop vegetables and add dressing to your salad. But the home-service bot's capabilities aren't limited to food preparation.
The machine, which stands just a little taller than 5 feet, is able to recognize objects and keywords. So, it can also set and clean the table and provide beverage service, giving you the complete restaurant experience.
Developed by the Center for Intelligent Robotics in South Korea, the robot in this video is the third and latest iteration of its kind. CIROS 1.0 was launched in November 2005.
