Sometimes when your career suddenly catapults you to superstardom, you miss out on smaller opportunities along the road.

Now Sam Smith is making things right. After sweeping the Grammys with his debut album, he's making appearances on local news segments that no one asked him to make.

Smith played Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver on August 4th. But before the big show, he hung around the venue looking for some trouble.

Local news channel ABC 7 sent a team to Red Rocks because it had just been declared a national monument. While two women were answering a reporter's questions about yoga in the park, Smith begged the cameras to stay with him.
