Here's the Document That Could Score Apple a Victory in the Samsung Trial

An internal Samsung document admitted into evidence in the Apple-Samsung trial may be the turning point in the patent battle between the two tech giants.

The 2010 report from Samsung's product engineering team is a feature-by-feature comparison between Samsung's Galaxy S phone and Apple's iPhone. With each feature, the team comes to the same conclusion: The Samsung Galaxy S would be a much better phone if it would only work more like Apple's iPhone in many ways.

AllThingsD's John Paczkowski says the report "appears to play directly into Apple’s charge that Samsung 'slavishly copied' the iPhone." You can view the full document uploaded by Paczkowski on Scribd.

Apple and Samsung are currently battling it out in a $2.5 billion dollar patent case. Apple has accused Samsung of copying both its hardware and software innovations while Samsung claims it hasn't violated any of Apple's patents and that the Cupertino-based company's designs aren't patentable to begin with.
