It's a big day for Samsung, which will launch its next-generation Galaxy S5 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona on Monday.

It will be an important moment for the company following mixed reviews of its current Galaxy smartphone model, the S4.

The event, which kicks off at 2 p.m. ET on Monday and live streamed online, will be hosted on Samsung's YouTube channel, which is embedded above.

A whole collection of rumors has been making the rounds, from a waterproof design to eye-scanning technology. Samsung may also launch two new devices -- one with a 2,560 x 1,440 display with a metal body and another with standard HD display device (1,920 x 1,080) with a plastic body. But again, that's just a possibility.

To watch the event live, check back here at 2 p.m. ET. Mashable will be on the ground covering the event live, so check back soon for updates and analysis.
