Samsung Announces 8-Inch and 10.1-Inch Galaxy Tab 3

Samsung has announced a trio of Galaxy Tab 3 devices. In addition to the 7-inch version we've known about since late April, the company also announced an 8-inch and a 10.1-inch variant of the Galaxy Tab 3.

The 10.1-inch variant has a 1280x800 resolution, a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera on the rear and a 1.3-megapixel one on the front. It comes with 16GB or 32GB of storage, expandable via microSD cards, and a 6,800mAh battery.

Three versions will be available with Android 4.2: Wi-Fi only, 3G and LTE.

Its 8-inch brother is also running Android 4.2. It has the same screen resolution, cameras and storage options, but a slightly weaker, 1.5GHz dual-core processor.

The battery is, unsurprisingly, significantly smaller, packing only 4,450mAh, but the device has slightly more memory than the 10.1-inch version: 1.5GB of RAM.

The 8.1-inch Galaxy Tab 3 will also be available in Wi-Fi only, 3G and LTE. Both the 8-inch and the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 3s will be available worldwide in early June.
